Do you have experience as a (tower) crane operator and are you ready to roll up your sleeves? We are looking for someone who enjoys their work, demonstrates craftsmanship, and prioritizes safety. Do you love operating cranes and can you independently perform basic maintenance on them? Then this opportunity is perfect for you.
What will you do?
You inspect the crane, lubricate it, and ensure it is ready for use and clean.
Before use, you test the crane, and after work, you leave the cabin tidy.
You have the knowledge and experience to lift a work basket.
You maintain good communication with colleagues guiding the load. Teamwork is essential!
You make the right decisions regarding the safety of your colleagues and yourself.
You perform maintenance on the crane and actively participate in the periodic inspection of the machine.
When there is no lifting work, you also carry out other (maintenance) tasks.
You will work at the Farmsum and Delfzijl (dock) locations. Having your own transport is important to get there.
Why us?
Niestern Sander is a versatile, powerful, and innovative shipyard. We design, build, and repair ships. Additionally, we specialize in (often complex) customer-oriented ship conversions. We are located in Farmsum and Delfzijl and have been a fully integrated part of the international maritime service provider Royal Wagenborg since 2008.
What you can expect from us:
Fun and varied work.
A one-year contract of 40 hours per week with the prospect of a permanent position.
A competitive salary in accordance with the Metalektro collective labor agreement and excellent secondary benefits.
Development opportunities tailored to your talents and career aspirations.
A strong focus on safety.
A top team of professionals who always have each other's backs.
Who are you?
You are committed and flexible. If necessary, you are willing to work a little longer, and when there is less work, you are open to working at another location or temporarily taking on other tasks. Additionally, you value safety for yourself and your colleagues.
We believe the following qualifications are essential for success in this role:
A completed crane operator training (Tower Crane Operator TCVT W4-06) or a willingness to obtain it.
A VCA certificate or a willingness to obtain this certification.
Up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations regarding lifting, lifting plans, and safety.
